Run your whole lab from your AI assistant.
Connect Claude, ChatGPT or Copilot and ask in plain language. Your AI co-scientist can take 150 actions across all 13 workspaces, from counting nuclei to writing up the experiment.
An AI assistant working in Conspecta. You ask: Count the nuclei on Tuesday's plate, put the counts beside the CD8+ percentages from the flow run, and write it up with a figure.
It takes 5 Conspecta actions:
- Run an image analysis over a set, in Image analysis: Plate 2: nuclei count
- Count populations, in Flow cytometry: Tuesday's CD8 tubes
- Create a data table, in Data tables: Nuclei vs CD8+
- Compose a figure, in Figures: Figure 2: Nuclei vs CD8+
- Write a notebook page, in Notes: Tuesday: CD8 activation, day 3
Done. Both readouts rise with stimulation, and IL-2 gives the highest of each. I wrote it up as drafts for you to check and sign off:
- Tuesday: CD8 activation, day 3, in Notes
- Figure 2: Nuclei vs CD8+, in Figures
Everything it makes opens in the workspace, ready to edit.
Your assistant saves its work as the same pages, figures, flow runs and sequences you build by hand. Restyle a panel, rename a feature on the map, rewrite a paragraph, and the table on the page stays live.
The same method on every run.
Your assistant runs image analysis and gating as a standard series of steps, from your lab's saved templates, and records every step and setting on the run. Rerun it next month, or hand the template to a colleague, and the same images give the same numbers.
Each run records its steps and settings
Read any run back with its exact steps and the setting used on each image.
Templates keep every version
A lab agrees on one way of measuring, and every result shows the version it was built on.
Gating travels as a template
A saved gating strategy fits each file's own channels, so this month's tubes line up with last month's.
Tag your lab's agent on any record, and get the answer in the thread.
Ask the way you would ask a labmate: @mention your lab's agent by name in a comment on a figure, table or page. It starts from the record you're on, does the work in its workspace, and replies under your comment, with every change recorded as asked by you.
Work from your own assistant is recorded under your name, marked via assistant, so the history always says who asked.

Write marks an action that needs a read and write connection. What your AI assistant can do
Questions about AI assistants in Conspecta
Which AI assistants work with Conspecta?
Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot, Cursor, Gemini CLI and any other assistant that connects to a remote MCP server. The setup guide has the steps for each one.
Setup steps for each assistantCan Claude or ChatGPT be an AI co-scientist for my lab?
Yes. Connected to Conspecta, it works from your lab's own records. It reads your protocols, samples and results, runs image analysis and flow gating on your data, and writes up what it finds as a draft page for you to check and sign off.
What your AI assistant can doWill I get the same numbers if I run it again?
Yes. Your assistant runs the same image analysis and gating methods you use in the app, and your lab's saved templates, with every step and setting recorded on the run. The same images give the same numbers, whoever runs them.
Image analysis templatesCan I edit what my assistant makes?
Yes. A notebook page, figure, data table or image analysis your assistant makes is saved in your project like work you made yourself. Open it in its workspace and change anything.
How your work connectsCan Claude or ChatGPT analyze my microscopy images?
Yes. Your assistant can set up an image analysis, run it over one image or a whole set, check the run against your control images, and save the counts and measurements to your project.
Image analysis in ConspectaCan my AI assistant analyze flow cytometry data?
Yes. It can apply a saved gating template to a set of FCS files, fitting each gate to each file's own channels. It can also count the populations across your files and run clustering or dimensionality reduction on a server.
Flow cytometry in ConspectaCan I tag an AI agent in a comment?
In early access, yes. @mention your lab's agent in a comment on any record, and it does the work and answers in the thread, with every change recorded as asked by you. Ask us to turn it on for your team.
Ask about early accessCan my assistant change my data?
Only if you allow it. When you set it up, you choose read only or read and write access, and all your projects or only the ones you pick. Read only answers questions. Read and write also lets it add and change your team's data, and every change shows in history under your name, marked via assistant.
Approve the connectionWhat does my assistant send to NCBI or UniProt?
It sends the words of a search, the accession number of a record you look up, or the sequence for a BLAST search, and it asks you before sending a sequence. Nothing about you, your lab or your project goes with them.
Sequences in ConspectaHow do I stop an assistant's access?
Revoke it under Connected apps in Settings, and it stops working everywhere it is signed in. A team owner or admin can also switch off access for a whole team at once.
Which plans include AI assistants?
Every paid plan. To try it on the free plan, contact us.
