Bring your data in

Instrument files, spreadsheets, and the records held in the system you run today all have a way in, so your first day starts full.

Microscopy

TIFF, PNG, JPEG, and LIF. Import images directly from your microscope or imaging system.

Flow Cytometry

FCS 2.0 through 3.2 files with automatic parameter detection. Load your data and start gating immediately.

Gating Strategies

FlowJo 10 .wsp workspaces and ISAC Gating-ML 2.0. Your gating is rebuilt and checked against your own data, population by population, before you keep it.

Genetics

FASTA, GenBank, and Newick tree formats. Import sequences with annotations and phylogenetic trees for visualization.

Spreadsheets

CSV, TSV, and Excel files, including the years of them sitting on a shared drive. A column-alignment wizard maps your own headers onto the right fields on the way in.

ELN or LIMS records

Notes, protocols, and experiment records with the files attached to them, so the work you already wrote up arrives with its context.

Inventory and ordering

Items, lots, and expiry dates with their storage down to the box position, plus past orders, suppliers, and catalog numbers, so reordering a reagent starts from what you bought last time.

Instrument booking

Instruments come in from a spreadsheet, and the sessions already logged against them can be loaded through the API, so usage reporting covers the years before the move.

Microbiome

BIOM abundance tables and QIIME2 visualization files (.qzv). Community composition data imports directly into the platform.

Samples, inventory, orders, suppliers, and instruments come in from a spreadsheet, and notes from Word, Markdown, or PDF. Anything beyond that is a script against the API, or a migration quoted as part of your onboarding on a Business plan.

Get your data out

Everything you create in Conspecta can be exported in standard, open formats.

Notes and Documents

Export notes as DOC, PDF, or Markdown. Protocols and experiments keep their formatting intact.

Spreadsheets

Samples, inventory, orders, suppliers, storage, data tables, protocol runs, and the planner all download as Excel workbooks.

Figures

Export publication-ready figures as PNG or SVG. Panels, annotations, and scale bars are all included.

Flow Cytometry

Export gated populations as FCS 3.1 files and their statistics as Excel or CSV, ready to open in any flow analysis tool.

Gating Strategies

Write a gating template back out as a FlowJo 10 .wsp workspace or ISAC Gating-ML 2.0, so your gating opens in FlowJo, Cytobank, or R's CytoML packages.

Genetics

Export sequences and annotations in GenBank format. Metadata and feature tables are preserved.

Microscopy Images

Your image collections at the resolution you uploaded them, plus the photos attached to samples, notes, and inventory items, in a single archive.

Bring your own tools

API and MCP access is included with every paid plan. Anything the app does, your own code can do too, over plain HTTP that any language or workflow engine can call.

What labs wire up

  • The move off your old system

    A migration script could read what your old ELN, LIMS, or booking system exports and create it here: samples with their storage, inventory and its lots, past orders and suppliers, and the notes attached to them.

  • Files off the instrument

    A script on the acquisition machine can upload each FCS file or image as the run finishes and attach it to the sample it came from.

  • Analysis that starts itself

    The same script can run an image analysis chain on the server and write its results into the analysis, so the numbers are counted by the time anyone opens the app.

  • Your purchasing system

    A script can mirror orders from the system your organization buys through, so each one updates here as it ships and arrives.

  • Bring your own pipeline

    A Snakemake rule, a Nextflow process on Seqera, or a plain Python or R job can pull the files it needs and post its numbers back into a data table, beside the samples they were measured from rather than into a CSV on a laptop.

Hardware you already own

Scanning and labelling work with off-the-shelf kit, so nothing here needs a purchase order.

Barcode scanners

A USB or Bluetooth scanner works the moment it is plugged in, with no drivers and nothing to configure. Scan from anywhere in the app and you land on the record the code identifies.

Phone camera

Scan from the phone app or a mobile browser instead. It reads 1D and 2D barcodes, so the vendor codes already on your tubes and boxes work too.

QR labels

Print sample labels straight from the app as a PDF, onto label sheets from an office printer or roll stock from a label printer.
