Stock that keeps up with the bench
What's left, where it is, what's on the way.
The quantity on an item is not a field anyone types into. Receive what arrived, consume what you used, transfer it to another shelf, or adjust after a physical count, and the total follows, with a reason and a name attached to every change. Consuming more than you have is refused rather than allowed to go negative.
Set a reorder point and you hear about a reagent while there is still some left to work with. Request more opens an order prefilled with that item, and a badge shows how many orders for it are already on the way, so two people restocking in the same week order it once between them.
Trace a result back to the batch behind it
Add Lot records a batch's number, its quantity, and its expiration date, so you reach for the oldest stock first and can say which vial produced a result. A batch past its date is flagged where you keep it. Deleting a lot removes that batch record and leaves the item's total where it is.
Four actions move stock, and the total follows
Receive what arrived, consume what you used, transfer some to another shelf, or adjust after a physical count. Adjust asks for the new total, so a shelf you counted at 415 is typed as 415, while the other three take an amount to add or remove. Those movements are woven into the item's history, so who used the last of it is one scroll rather than an investigation.
Restock before the shelf is empty
Set a reorder point and the item reads Low Stock while there is still some left, and everyone it is shared with gets a notification in their inbox. Request more raises an order against it, and a badge counts the orders for it already on the way. Marking one complete receives the delivery into stock, taking the quantity and the lot number from the packing slip in the same step.
Catch a reagent filed on the wrong shelf
Set the temperature an item needs and Conspecta flags it the moment the location it sits on is set to another, so a conjugate at risk shows up while there is still time to move it. Around that sit the rest of the label's facts: hazard classifications, handling notes, and links to the safety data sheet, certificate of analysis, and technical data sheet, with the CAS number, controlled substance class, and export status on the Regulatory card. An antibody also carries its fluorochrome, clone, host species, and reactivity, and the fluorochrome you enter is what panel design reads to know which dyes your lab already holds.

Finding and organizing
Sort and search
Sort by name, quantity, stock status, category, or date, and search names, SKUs, catalog numbers, descriptions, and tags. Sorting by stock puts what to reorder at the top.
Folders and bulk actions
Group items by bench, project, or supplier, then select several to move, share, make private, rename, star, or delete.
Barcode lookup
Read a vendor code or your own label straight into the item, at the bench or from a phone.
Expiring soon
One list of everything within 30 days of its date or already past it, gathered from every folder.
Alerts, import, and export
Alerts that begin with your first delivery
Alerts start once an item has actually held stock, so a list imported against empty shelves sends none. Alerts for a shared item go to the project, and for a private one to its owner.

A CSV or TSV with its headers matched loosely, including the ones other lab tools export. Name is the only required column.
Suppliers shared across the lab
Your vendor list belongs to the team, so a supplier is entered once for every project. Orders stay with the project that paid for them.
